Yellowjackets Announce Women’s Soccer Spring Schedule

BILLINGS, Mont. – Montana State Billings head women’s soccer coach, Don Trentham, announced Tuesday the 2009 women’s soccer spring schedule.  The slate features four dates and six soccer matches, including an Apr. 5 matchup with Rocky Mountain College and an Apr. 19 matchup with the University of Montana.

The spring season gets underway this Sunday (Mar. 29) as MSUB plays two matches versus the Bozeman U-18 team at 12:30 p.m., and the Magic City U-18 team at 4 p.m. at the College of Technology Field located at the corner of Shiloh and Central in Billings.

General admission tickets are $5, while senior citizen tickets are $3.  Grade 7-12 students are $3 and MSUB students are free with valid student ID.  Also, MSUB faculty/staff are admitted free with a valid ID as well.

New this spring season is the ability to web stream the soccer games with play-by-play commentary.  Fans who are not able to attend the games, can log on to www.msubillings.edu/athletics and click on the live broadcasts link from the front page and will then have access to watch all six MSUB spring games, with play-by-play, from their computer for a nominal fee. 

For the games on Mar. 29, fans can watch on the internet both games for a fee of $7.  Apr. 5th versus Rocky Mountain and Apr. 19 versus Montana are $5.50.  On Apr. 18, fans can watch all six games for $12.  Fans will have to setup an account with Penn Atlantic prior to watching the events.

In the fall, all home MSUB men’s and women’s soccer games also will be broadcast live on the web for the first time.  Ken Adelblue, from KBLG Radio, will be providing the play-by-play.  Adelblue also is doing the play-by-play this spring.

April 18, MSUB will host five other teams for a round-robin of sorts as each team will play two games.  MSUB, Montana, Great Falls, Rocky Mountain, Carroll College and the University of Mary all will be featured.  Fans can watch the web stream of each of those games as well, with the MSUB games having audio play-by-play.

The spring season will conclude Sun., Apr. 19, at 11 a.m. with a single game between MSUB and the University of Montana.
