Carpenter Carpenter Carpenter
BILLINGS, Mont. – Alira Carpenter is so good, we had to say her name three times. Nah, that is not it. Carpenter was named Co-GNAC Player of the Week for December 21. This is the third time this season she has won the award.
Carpenter averaged 25 points and shot 45% from the floor, 39.3% from behind the arc and 83.3% from the line in leading the Jackets to a 3-0 record. She scored 26 points with four triples in an 86-71 win over Hawaii Pacific and 29 points with four 3-pointers in a 96-89 win over Shepherd.
In an 83-32 win over Chaminade, Carpenter had 20 points and shot 8-of-13 from the floor. Four minutes into the contest, she nailed a record breaking triple. Carpenter’s bomb made her the all-time leading scorer in MSUB history. She has 1639 points to break the old mark of 1620 by Tera Silvius (1992-95).
