Yellowjackets Do Not Go Quiet Into the Night

MONMOUTH, Ore. – For the teams remaining on Montana State Billings volleyball schedule, you better come ready to play. No. 26 Western Oregon found that out as they survived the Yellowjackets 3-0 (28-26, 26-24, 25-23), Saturday night. MSUB remains on the road, taking on Rocky Mountain College, Tuesday, Oct. 14. The match is scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m.
In the opening game, Western Oregon jumped out to a 19-14 lead. Montana State Billings came back with a 9-4 run to tie the game at 23-23. After that, the teams traded points before the Wolves got two straight to end the game. The remaining two games were both back-and-forth affairs.
For the Yellowjackets (5-17, 2-7 GNAC), Jennifer Boe and Devon Crotteau both recorded double-doubles. Boe had 17 kills and 17 digs while Crotteau had 12 kills and a team season high 23 digs. Rosey Falemaka dominated at the net defensively with six block assists. Hillary Morrison had a solid night with 36 assists and 13 digs. Collecting 10+ digs were Ashley Welborn (10) and Jill Trabing (16).
For Western Oregon (14-1, 7-0 GNAC), Stacey Bennett had 11 kills and 20 digs, Sharon Peterson had 11 kills and Kayla Mainer had 17 digs.
