Yellowjackets Hit the Road for the Final Time

THIS WEEK: Montana State Billings is on the road for the final time this season. They will play Alaska Fairbanks on Thursday,Nov. 6 and Alaska Anchorage on Saturday, Nov. 8. Both matches are scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m.
ALASKA ANCHORAGE: The Seawolves (13-13, 5-8 GNAC) are coming off a tough 3-2 loss to No. 24 Western Washington. Rhea Cardwell is averaging 4.30 kills per game. Calli Scott quarterbacks the offense with 10.53 assists per game. UAA leads the series 26-6 although MSUB has won the last three meetings.
ALASKA FAIRBANKS: The Nanooks (15-7, 9-4 GNAC) are led by Korlyn Bolster with 3.26 kills per game, 65 total blocks and a .313 hitting percentage. Megan Thigpen is averaging 3.36 digs per game. UAF leads the series 18-15.
LAST WEEK: The Yellowjackets had a tough week as they dropped both matches. Northwest Nazarene was pressed hard in a 3-0 (25-14, 25-23, 25-21) win Thursday, Oct. 30.
For Montana State Billings, Devon Crotteau had another solid night with 13 kills and 11 digs while hitting .429. Ashley Welborn sizzled the nets with a .357 hitting percentage. Jill Trabing collected 10 digs.
Two milestones were reached for MSUB. Crotteau became the 10th player in school history to record 800 career kills. She has 812 for the Jackets. Jessica Lechner has now played in 401 games, just the fifth player for the Yellowjackets to reach the 400 mark.
Seattle Pacific pounded out a 3-0 (25-19, 25-22, 25-19) win, Saturday, Nov. 1.
For Montana State Billings, Crotteau had 13 kills, 11 digs and hit .367 while Lechner had nine kills and hit a very solid .438. Jill Trabing collected 12 digs. For Crotteau it was her 13th double-double of the season.
