Five MSUB Volleyball Players Make GNAC All-Academic

BILLINGS, Mont. – Montana State Billings had five athletes named to the GNAC All-Academic volleyball team.  Western Oregon led the way with eight, followed by Central Washington with seven.  Western Washington and Alaska Fairbanks had six players each.

A total of 41 athletes were named to the team.  Among that number were three players appearing for the third time each; Torii Mount (Seattle Pacific), Stacey Bennett (Western Oregon) and Tiana Roma (Western Washington).

Senior Middle Blocker Jessica Lechner earned all-academic honors for the second time.  She has a 3.25 GPA majoring in Math Education.  Lechner was one of 19 players selected to the team for at least the second time.

The highest GPA on the team belonged to Junior Outside Hitter Devon Crotteau.  She has a 3.75 GPA majoring in Chemistry and Pre-Pharmacy.  Crotteau’s GPA was among the top 12 in the GNAC.

The remaining MSUB players honored were Hillary Morrison (So./Setter) with a 3.62 in Biology, Jennifer Boe (So./Outside Hitter) with a 3.61 in business Management and Jill Trabing (Jr./Libero) with a 3.38 in Sociology.
