BILLINGS, Mont. – Central Washington took a hard fought 3-0 (25-18, 25-19, 25-10) win over Montana State Billings, Saturday night. The Wildcats sweep the season series as they won 3-0 at home, Sept. 18. The Yellowjackets begin a four game road trip, Thursday, Oct. 30 against Northwest Nazarene. The match is scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m.
In the opening game, Jessica Lechner hammered one home straight down the middle to make it 18-14, Central Washington. The Wildcats went on a 7-4 run to end the game. In game two, MSUB was up 17-13 before scoring eight straight points to lead 21-17. Devon Crotteau came up with a big kill to make it 21-18 but CWU held off the Jackets. In game three, the Yellowjackets trailed 11-7 and then watched as the Wildcats scored nine straight points to basically end the match.
For Montana State Billings (5-20, 2-9 GNAC), Jennifer Boe had eight kills, Crotteau had eight kills and 11 digs while Jill Trabing collected 13 digs.
For Central Washington (15-8, 7-4 GNAC), Erin Norris and Morgan Zamora had eight kills each while Brandie Vea had 12 digs.
