Crotteau Makes All-GNAC First Team
2008 GNAC All-Conference Team
BILLINGS, Mont. – Montana State Billings had one player named to the Great Northwest Athletic All-Conference Volleyball team. Devon Crotteau was selected to the first team after earning second team honors last season. This is the third time in the last four years that an MSUB player has made all-conference first team.
Crotteau had an outstanding year with 408 kills (3.89 pg), 335 digs (3.19 pg) and a .246 hitting percentage. She led the team with 29 service aces. Crotteau is currently ranked second in the GNAC and 14th in NCAA Division II in kills per game.
Crotteau recorded 17 double-doubles (kills-digs), had 21 double-digit matches in kills and 22 double-digit matches in digs. Against Rocky Mountain College on Oct. 14, she recorded 34 kills to break the MSUB record and tie the GNAC record for kills in a single match. Crotteau became the first player in MSUB history to have 400 kills and 300 digs in back-to-back seasons.
“With the season we had, it says a lot about Devon for her to make first team,” said head coach Dana Cordova. “She just stepped it up a notch midway through the season. I’m happy for her being honored.”
