BILLINGS, Mont. – the Montana State University Billings volleyballk team went 1-1 on the first day of the MSUB Invitational on Friday.  The Yellowjackets (2-9) knocked off Notre Dame de Namur 3-1 (25-23, 25-16, 22-25, 25-18) before falling 3-2 (11-25, 12-25, 27-25, 25-22, 15-12) to the University of Mary.  The tournament concludes tomorrow.

In the opening match, Devon Crotteau had 12 kills, four service aces and collected 11 digs while Roseky Falemaka had 11 kills.  Jessica Lechner had one of her best matches with 10 kills, four total blocks and pounded out an amazing .769 hitting percentage.  Jill Trabing added 15 digs.

For Notre Dame de Namur (0-10), Caitlin Torres had 11 kills while Shauna Folan had 11 digs.

In the nightcap Crotteau had a5 kills, 13 digs and four total blocks while Lechner had another solid hitting performance with 15 kills and a .357 percentage.  Jennifer Boe led four players in double-digit in digs with 18.
