Yellowjackets Split Against Western New Mexico

DENVER, Colo. – Montana State Billings split on the final day of the regular season, Thursday morning.  The men lost 8-1 to Western New Mexico while the women beat the Mustangs 8-1.  MSUB will remain in Denver to compete in the RMAC Championships, Apr. 24-25.

For the men (3-5 RMAC, 6-15), Brian LeSueur and Franco Valdez picked up the lone point beating Western New Mexico 8-6 at No. 3 Doubles.  The Yellowjackets are seeded fifth and will play Mesa State, Fri., Apr. 24, at 11:00 a.m.  The Mavericks beat MSUB 9-0 on Apr. 3.

For the women (7-1 RMAC, 13-9), it was a tight match as four of the six singles went three sets.  The Yellowjackets lost the first set at No. 1 and 2 Singles before coming back to win both.  The Yellowjackets are seeded second and will play Colorado Christian on Fri., Apr. 24, at 8:00 a.m.  MSUB beat CC 9-0 on Apr. 10.
