Yellowjacket Compete at RMAC Tennis Championships

DENVER, Colo. – Montana State Billings concluded the regular season for tennis at the RMAC Championships, Friday afternoon.  The men lost 7-2 to Mesa State in the first round while the women beat Colorado Christian 9-0 and lost 5-4 to Nebraska-Kearney in the semi-finals.

For the men (3-5 RMAC, 6-16), the Yellowjackets picked up two wins.  At No. 3 Doubles, Brian LeSueur and Franco Valdez won 8-3 while Delbert Landichio won at No. 6 Singles 6-3, 6-0.

For the women (7-1 RMAC, 14-10), MSUB had a solid performance against Colorado Christian losing only 27 games.  In the semi-finals, the critical match was at No. 6 Singles where UNK edged out a 7-5, 6-4 win to take the match.  MSUB will now wait to see if they get selected to the NCAA Championships.
