Yellowjackets Keeping Moving Up in Region and National Polls
BILLINGS, Mont. - Montana State Billings is continuing a steady climb in the polls. The Yellowjackets moved from fifth to fourth in the NCAA Division II West Region Poll for Apr. 22. In the NFCA Division II National Poll, MSUB is tied for 33rd, marking the fourth time this season they have received votes.
Dixie State took over the top spot as Humboldt State, the defending West regional champion, fell to second. Hawaii Pacific moved from fourth to third while Sonoma State moved from sixth to fifth.
Rounding out the top 10 are: Cal State Stanislaus (6th), Cal State Dominguez Hills (7th), UC San Diego (8th), Cal State Monterey Bay (9th) and San Francisco State (10th). MSUB is 1-0 against Sonoma State and 3-0 against CSU Dominguez Hills.
In the national poll, Alabama-Huntsville remained the number one ranked team for the third straight week. Rounding out the top five are North Georgia (2nd), Lock Haven (3rd), Southeastern Oklahoma (4th) and Angelo State (5th). Among the west region team, Humboldt State remained eighth, Dixie State moved from 19th to 13th and Hawaii Pacific fell from 11th to 16th.
