Yellowjackets Making Moves in Region and National Polls
BILLINGS, Mont. - Montana State Billings is on the move. The Yellowjackets moved from seventh to fifth in the NCAA Division II West Region Poll for Apr. 15. In the NFCA Division II National Poll, MSUB is tied for 35th, the third time this season they have received votes.
Humboldt State, the defending West regional champion, was picked as the number one team in the region. Dixie State moved from fourth to second while Cal State Stanislaus remained in third. Hawaii Pacific fell from second to fourth.
Rounding out the top 10 are Sonoma State (6th), UC San Diego (7th), Cal State Dominguez Hills (8th), San Francisco State (9th) and Grand Canyon (10th). MSUB is 1-0 against Sonoma State and 3-0 against CSU Dominguez Hills.
In the national poll, Alabama-Huntsville remained the number one ranked team for the second straight week. Rounding out the top five are North Georgia (2nd), Lock Haven (3rd), Angelo State (4th) and Southeastern Oklahoma (5th). Among the west region team, Humboldt State fell from sixth to eight, Hawaii Pacific remained at No. 11 and Dixie State fell one spot to 19th.
