Conder and Tsatsa Earn GNAC Player of the Week Honors
BILLINGS, Mont. - Montana State Billings is cornering the market on the GNAC Softball Player of the Week awards. For the week of Apr. 27, Bekah Tsatsa was named Player of the Week while Kasie Conder shared Pitcher of the Week. MSUB has had at least one player win nine of the 11 weeks it has been awarded.
Tsatsa had solid week at the plate in helping the Yellowjackets to a 5-1 record. In four games, she had a double, triple and home run, scored two runs, drove in 10 runs and batted .600 (6-10). Tsatsa drove in five runs, including the game-winning RBI in an 8-2 win over Saint Martin’s on Apr. 23. This is the third time this season she has won the award.
Kasie Conder had a huge week in winning the award for the fourth time this year. She was 3-0 with a save, gave up 14 hits, three run, two of them earned, walked two batters and struck out 31 batters for a 0.79 ERA in 17 and two-third innings. Conder recorded 14 strikeouts against Saint Martin’s on Apr. 23 and 11 against Northwest Nazarene on Apr. 25. She has now struck out at least 10 batters in each of her last three starts.
