BILLINGS, Mont. - After a one week layoff, Montana State Billings has earned another GNAC Player of the Week Award. Steph Gosselin was named player of the week for April 13. This is the first time she has won the award and the seventh time out of nine that an MSUB player has been honored.
Gosselin had a solid week in helping her team win three out of four from Western Oregon, Apr. 10-11. She had three home runs, scored three runs, drove in three runs, drew four walks and stole two bases. Gosselin hit .500 (4-of-8), had a slugging percentage of 1.625% and an on-base percentage of .667.
Twice, Gosselin had the game winning RBI against the Wolves. On Apr. 10 in the first game, she had a solid home run in the bottom of the sixth to break a 1-1 tie. In the night cap, Gosselin had a solo shot in the fifth inning that proved to be the game-winning RBI.
