Conder and Howard Share GNAC Honors
BILLINGS, Mont. - For the fourth time this season, Montana State Billings has a GNAC Softball Player of the Week. Stevie Howard was named player of the week with Holly Rossman of Central Washington while Kasie Conder shared pitching honors with Linse Vlahovich of Central Washington. This is the second week in a row that Conder has won the award.
Conder picked up two victories while scattering just two hits in eight innings of scoreless work against Northwest Nazarene. On Mar. 13, Conder came on in relief in the eighth inning and three innings of no hit ball to pick up the 11-10 win. The following day, Mar. 14, she threw a two-hit shutout with four strikeouts in an 8-0 win.
Howard had a stellar weekend at the plate and on the field for the Yellowjackets. At the plate she had a home run, scored three runs, drove in six runs, had a slugging percentage of .714 while hitting .500. Howard handled 14 chances at second base with no errors against the Crusaders.
