Eisenmann To Play Softball at Montana State Billings
BILLINGS, Mont. - Rachel Eisenmann has signed a National Letter of Intent to play softball at Montana State Billings in 2010. She is a transfer from Spokane Falls Community College (Wash.). Eisenmann will enter MSUB as a junior in the fall of 2009.
Eisenmann, a native of Missoula, Mont., had a solid two year career at Spokane Falls CC. In 2009, she scored 24 runs, drove in 19 and batted .311 in helping her team to a 37-11 record, a share of the NWAACC Eastern Regional title and a return trip to the championship tournament. As a freshman in 2008, she earned All-East Region second team honors as her team qualified for the championship tournament.
Eisenmann earned three letters at Missoula Sentinel High School and was named to the Class AA All-State first team as a senior. She plans on majoring in Business Management at MSUB.
“Rachel is a solid addition to our program,” said head coach Anthony Stone. “She's a committed student-athlete who will make an immediate impact in our lineup. She's someone who doesn't need her ego fed. Rather, she is a very tough, humble person and she embodies what our program is all about; academic priority with a strong work ethic to progressive improvement on a daily basis. You can tell she loves the game, and I tell everyone that comes through this program, if you love softball, you'll love being a Yellowjacket."
