Charles Featured as KTVQ Athlete of the Week

BILLINGS, Mont. – Junior, men's soccer, forward, Sam Charles, will be featured on KTVQ’s sports segment tonight at 5:30 p.m. and 10 p.m., as its Athlete of the Week, the station announced today. The station did an interview with Charles yesterday at practice that will be aired tonight.

Charles, a native of Chiswell, England, leads the conference and the team with 13 goals and three assists for 29 points.  He has five game winners and leads the team with 56 shots, including 29 on goal.  Charles has been named Great Northwest Athletic Conference Player of the Week twice this season as well.

In addition, Charles ranks fifth nationally in goals per game (1.18) and is sixth in points at a 2.64 clip.  He is the only GNAC player ranked in the Top 10.

The Yellowjackets begin a four game road trip this weekend with a neutral site game against Jamestown at Mary on Friday (12 p.m.) and then play at Mary on Sunday at 11 a.m.  MSUB returns home Oct. 31 for its final home game of the season against rival Western Washington at 3:30 p.m.
