Harr Named GNAC Player of the Week
SPOKANE, Wash. – Montana State Billings men’s golf junior, Jake Harr, earned Great Northwest Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors for his efforts last week as the Yellowjackets finished in a first place tie with Lewis Clark State at the Rocky Mountain College Invitational.
Harr, a Buhl, Idaho, native helped lead the Yellowjackets to a school-record and came within one stroke of the all-time best team round at Peter Yegen Golf Club with an impressive 271 round. Only Lewis Clark State and Rocky Mountain College have scored lower (270) in on round in the event.
Harr opened the tournament with a six-under 65 and finished the first day with an even-par 71. He concluded the tournament going one-under 70 for a seven-under 206 and a second place finish individually. In two tournaments this season, Harr is averaging 72.3 strokes per round.
The Jackets as a team had three players finish in the top 10 in the tournament.
