Yellowjacket Links Head to Hanny Stanislaus Invitational
BILLINGS, Mont. – The Montana State Billings men’s golf team heads to its final regular season tournament of the year, Monday as it competes at the Hanny Stanislaus Invitational. The 16-team field will play at the Turlock Golf and Country Club. All four Great Northwest Athletic Conference teams will be in the field, including a number of teams from the California Collegiate Athletic Association.
The Yellowjackets enter the tournament on the heels of a third place finish at the Bob Writz Invitational last week, hosted by Colorado School of Mines. Travis Gates was named GNAC Player of the Week as he carded rounds of 76 and 70 finishing fourth. In addition, Chris Richter hit the first hole-in-one of his career and the first of the season for MSUB at the tournament.
After the Stanislaus Invitational, the Yellowjackets head to the GNAC Championships in Spokane, Wash., April 20-21.
