Incarnate Word Forfeits Games from 2006-07
BILLINGS, Mont. – University of the Incarnate Word men’s basketball program was required to forfeit three games against Montana State Billings from the 2006-07 season, the NCAA announced.
With those forfeits, the Yellowjackets finished the season with a 9-18 record overall and a 6-6 mark in the Heartland Conference. In addition, the three wins brings MSUB’s career men’s basketball record to 999-885, for a .530 winning percentage. The first victory of the 2009-10 season will be the 1000th win in school history versus against four-year colleges.
Incarnate Word won two games in Billings and one at UIW that year. Incarnate Word won an 82-62 and a 72-66 decision Jan. 27-28, 2007, in Billings and won 79-65 on its home floor, Feb. 10. Only two of the games counted as conference contests.
MSUB originally had a 6-21 record and a 4-8 record in league play.
