Montana State Billings to Honor Native Americans

BILLINGS, Mont. – The American Indian is an integral part of the past, present and future of the state of Montana. Thus it is fitting that Montana State University Billings will be having an Native American Heritage Night. The night of appreciation and respect will be on Thursday, Dec. 11 as the MSUB men’s basketball team will take on Montana Tech at 7:00 p.m.

At 5:00 p.m., there will be a basketball game pitting the MT-WY Tribal Leaders Council National Team against Little Big Horn College. Anyone of Native American descent will be admitted free to both games.

At halftime of the MSUB game, the Blackhawk Junior Native American Drum Group will be performing. In addition, also at halftime, the inductees of the Montana Indian Athletic Hall of Fame will be honored.

The Montana Tobacco Use Prevention Program will be sponsoring the Montana State Billings basketball game. They will be handing out RiverStone bags to the first 200 people.
