Annual Student-Athlete Awards Banquet Set for Sunday

BILLINGS, Mont. – The 2008-09 Montana State Billings Student-Athlete Awards Banquet is scheduled for Sunday, April 19, 2009, at 7 p.m., in the Library 148 (LI 148) and is free and open to the public.

The event will feature a 13-minute slideshow presentation of all 17 intercollegiate sports, as well as cheer and stunt.  Each sport’s head coach will speak about the team and the season. Director of Athletics, Dr. Gary Gray, will hand out letter pins and team individual award certificates.

At the end of the evening, the MSUB Male and Female Student-Athlete of the Year will be announced.  Last year, Sam Charles of men’s soccer and Alira Carpenter of women’s basketball were named Male and Female of the Year.
