Blackhawk Helicopter Lands at Bjorgum Field

BILLINGS, Mont. – A Montana Army National Guard Blackhawk Helicopter stationed in Helena, Mont., landed on Bjorgum Field on the campus of Montana State University Billings in conjunction with the MSUB Athletic Department Thursday morning.

MSUB staff, students-athletes, students and the public had a chance to see the Blackhawk land adjacent to the softball field. After landing, the 30 or so onlookers had the opportunity to take photos, sit in the cockpit, ask questions and then watch it take off after about an hour on the ground.

The Blackhawk left Helena at 9 a.m. and arrived at Bjorgum Field just after 10 a.m.  After about an hour on the ground, the Blackhawk took off and did a fly-by before heading to the airport to refuel for its trip back to Helena.
