Saint Martin’s Baseball Series Moved to Billings
BILLINGS, Mont. – Due to the continuing inclement weather in Washington, Montana State Billings and Saint Martin’s have decided to flip-flop their baseball series and move it to Pirtz Field at Stewart Park this weekend. The teams will play doubleheaders Friday and Saturday with first pitch scheduled for 11 a.m. on Friday, and 6 p.m. on Saturday.
MSUB originally was scheduled to play at Saint Martin’s this weekend and host the Saints Apr. 24-25, but now will travel to Lacey, Wash., for the Apr. 24-25 series.
The Yellowjackets return to Dehler Park this season, but since Dehler Park isn’t ready yet the games will be played at Pirtz Field where MSUB played its home games last year. MSUB will open at Dehler Park against Colorado Christian, Mar. 31 at 3 p.m.
MSUB enters the week with a 13-11 record overall and leads the Great Northwest Athletic Conference with a 7-1 record. Saint Martin’s enters the series with an 8-9-1 record overall and a 3-1-1 record in conference play. Saint Martin’s and Western Oregon were not able to get their series completed last weekend due to inclement conditions and were tied 4-4 in the 11th of game one when play was suspended.
