Baseball Alumni and Senior Day Set For May 2-3

BILLINGS, Mont. – The Montana State Billings baseball team will have its Alumni Day and Senior Day, May 2-3, respectively, when it hosts Bemidji State.  The third annual Alumni Day is slated for May 2, and Senior Day will be May 3, head coach Chris Brown announced Tuesday.

The Alumni Day festivities begin with a doubleheader against Bemidji State beginning at 1:30 p.m., at Dehler Park.  Prior to the game, all alumni will be introduced individually and will run out to their former positions on the field prior to the National Anthem.  All baseball alumni will be admitted free to the games (both days).

Following the twin bill, there will be a reception for all baseball alums at the Petroleum Club beginning at 7:30 p.m., at the top of the Crowne Plaza in downtown Billings.  There will be a $10 charge per MSUB baseball alum and each will receive a MSUB Baseball T-Shirt.  Hors d’oeuvres will be provided, as well as cocktails.   

On Sunday, the Yellowjackets will honor nine seniors prior to the second doubleheader versus Bemidji State, beginning at 12 p.m., at Dehler Park.  The 2009 Senior Class includes; Bryce Thomas (Laurel, Mont./Rocky Mountain College), Cole Pryor (Billings, Mont./Miles CC), Andrew Hernandez (Tigard, Ore./Pacific Lutheran), Stefan Malkuch (Kalispell, Mont./Spokane Falls CC), Brian Strom (Littleton, Colo./Regis University), Levi Johnson (Great Falls, Mont./Miles CC), Nick Harris (Helena, Mont./Miles CC), Steve Scott (Billings, Mont./Chapman) and Joe Via (Price, Utah/College of Eastern Utah).
