Hood CC where he was a team captain his sophomore year as well as an all-conference selection as a sophomore…Was a two-time letterwinner as well as winning the “Golden Rake” award as a sophomore…Helped his team to a school-record 27-3 mark with two league championships.

Southridge High School: Played third base and catcher in high school as well as being named to multiple honor rolls and having 4.0 GPA’s…A team captain and an all-league selection his senior year…Was the vice president of DECA and a member of National Honor Society…has a brother, Matt Hernandez, that played baseball at Oregon State University…Majoring at MSUB in psychology.
