MSUB Tennis Wraps Up Montana Invite
Complete Results

MISSOULA, Mont. – Montana State Billings senior Heidi Lehman lost 6-0, 6-1 in the semifinals of the University of Montana Invite on Saturday.  Lehman won back to back matches on Friday to advance to the semis, but Montana’s Martyna Nowak eliminated her Saturday.

In the consolation bracket, Anne-Sophie Tredet of MSU Billings defeated the Yellowjackets’ Marta Borges 7-5, 6-1 in the finals.  The consolation bracket was essentially a three-way playoff between Yellowjackets.  Borges defeated Victoria Fernandez in the semis.

Rebecca Bran of Montana won the women’s singles title, defeating teammate Nowak 7-6 (4), 6-5.  Nowak and Liz Walker captured the doubles title.  In the doubles consolation bracket, Lehman and Tredet defeated Borges and Johnna Beatty in the finals. 

On the men’s side, Montana dominated and will have both entries in the singles finals on Sunday.  The Yellowjackets’ best showing came from Travis Lehman, who advanced to the consolation semifinals.
