Yellowjacket Women’s Soccer Team to Hold Free Youth Clinic Friday (September 2, 2003)

BILLINGS, MT – The MSU Billings women’s soccer team will hold its second annual Youth Soccer Weekend beginning with a free youth soccer clinic on Friday, September 5.  The weekend’s events are made possible by the sponsorships of the Magic City Soccer Club and the Yellowstone Soccer Association.  The clinic at the Inaugural Youth Soccer Weekend last year attracted 75 participants.

Beginning at 5:45 p.m. on Friday, Yellowjacket coaches and players will run a free clinic for youth players ages 6-18.  The clinic, which will focus on creating a fun and exciting environment while teaching basic soccer skills and techniques, will run until 7:00 p.m.  Participants will also have the opportunity to interact with current Yellowjacket women’s soccer players.

On Saturday, September 6, the Yellowjackets will host Northwest Nazarene University at 1:00 p.m. at Yellowjacket Field.  All youth soccer players who attend the clinic on Friday will receive free admission to the Jackets’ game.  The first 50 youth to arrive at Saturday’s game will receive a free MSU Billings Women’s Soccer team t-shirt.
