MSU Billings Drops Final Men’s Soccer Game of the Season (November 1, 2002)

BISMARCK, ND – Despite out-shooting the University of Mary 13 to 9 in the game, the Yellowjackets of MSU Billings lost 1-0 Friday afternoon.  The loss dropped the Yellowjackets’ final 2002 record to 6-11.

Goalkeeper Kevin Petritz had three first half saves, but gave up one goal that put the Marauders ahead 1-0 at intermission.  That turned out to be the only goal Mary needed as they held on for the 1-0 victory.

MSU Billings goalkeeper Yacine Zerizef posted three second half saves to shut out the Marauders in the final 45 minutes, but the Yellowjackets were unable to find the back of the net.  Mark Cipolla led MSUB with four shots.
