Brittney Sandau, Women's Soccer, Oct. 1, 2007
Sandau, a senior midfielder from Billings, scored two goals on Saturday to carry the Yellowjackets to a 3-1 win at Northwest Nazarene University.  The win was the first road conference win for the Lady Jackets since joining the Great Northwest Athletic Conference and also broke a three-game winless streak.  MSUB moved from fifth place in the GNAC standings into a tie for third place.  Sandau opened the scoring in the 15th minute then broke a 1-1 tie with the game winner in the 53rd minute.  The goals were Sandau's sixth and seventh of the season and 26th and 27th of her career.  She is currently fourth in school history for both career points and career goals.

Devon Crotteau, Volleyball, Sept. 24, 2007
Crotteau, a sophomore outside hitter from Casper, Wyo., averaged 5.1 kills per game to lead MSU Billings to two Great Northwest Athletic Conference road wins in Alaska.  On Thursday, Crotteau knocked down 18 kills on 53 attempts in a 3-1 win at Alaska Fairbanks.  On Saturday, she drilled a career-high 23 kills on a .211 attack percentage in a 3-1 win at Alaska Anchorage.  She also had 19 digs and four blocks against the Seawolves.  The two wins kept MSU Billings in first place in the GNAC at 5-1.

Men's Soccer Defensive Line, Sept. 17, 2007
(Josh Hernandez, Tom Milroy, Justin Hoskins, Greg McKeever)
This week's honor goes to the entire MSUB men's soccer defensive unit.  The Yellowjackets continued to pitch shutouts, including a 1-0 win over nationally-ranked Seattle University, the program's first-ever win over a ranked team.  As a defensive line, the Yellowjackets have conceded just one goal while the offense has scored 18.  In seven games, MSUB has allowed just 42 shots total with 17 on goal.  The defense leads the conference posting six shutouts, and has a goals against average of 0.17.

Jarred Rensvold, Cross Country, Sept. 10, 2007
Rensvold, a senior captain from Wolf Point, Mont., ran the second-fastest 8K time of his MSUB career on Saturday to place seventh at the South Dakota School of Mines Invitational.  He posted a 28:33 to prevent a clean sweep by Black Hills State.  Rensvold's seventh place finish broke up the eleven BHSU runners who claimed 11 of the top 12 places.

Alicia Cazemier, Volleyball, Sept. 3, 2007
Cazemier, a senior middle blocker from Vauxhall, Alberta, had 73 kills, 35 digs, 16 blocks and six service aces to lead the Yellowjackets to four wins in the Days Inn-Denver West Oredigger Classic in Denver over the weekend. Cazemier averaged 4.29 kills per game and hit .275 (73-24-178) in wins over Colorado School of Mines, Mesa State, Western State and Western New Mexico.  She had 22 kills, two short of her career high, and hit .439 in Saturday’s win over WNMU.  MSU Billings was one of just two teams to go 4-0 at the Oredigger Classic.  Cazemier was named to the all-tournament team, the only Yellowjacket to receive the honor, and on Monday was named the GNAC player of the week.  Cazemier entered 2007 as the career school record holder for total blocks, solo blocks, and hitting percentage.  With 15 block assists last weekend, she now also holds that school record with 291.

Sam Charles, Men's Soccer, Aug. 27, 2007
Charles, a sophomore forward from Weymouth, England, scored three goals in a pair of Yellowjacket wins on the opening weekend of the season.  On Thursday he netted a second half goal in a 2-0 win at Colorado Christian.  On Sunday, Charles scored both goals in a 2-0 win at Mesa State.  The two wins tie the school record for consecutive wins at three dating back to last year's final game.  They also give MSUB its first 2-0 start to a season.
