| Soccer Program Growth |
| The MSU Billings Soccer programs
have seen a tremendous amount of growth since they began in the
fall of 1996. Here are some examples of recent growth the
programs have seen in just the past four years: |
 |
|
• |
Both
programs have seen steady increases each year to their
scholarship totals. |
 |
|
• |
In the fall of 2002 the coaching
staff was comprised of a half-time men’s head coach, a half-time
women’s head coach and two part-time assistants. The fall of
2006 has a full-time Director of Soccer/Head Women’s Coach, a
full-time Head Men’s Coach, a quarter-time assistant for each
program and a shared graduate assistant. |
 |
|
• |
Facility and field improvements:
Bleachers for spectators, benches for players, press box, a
fence around the south and east side of the field, two state of
the art game goals, four practice goals, reduction in the crown,
and brand new sod. |
 |
|
• |
Both programs competing in the
Heartland Conference, allowing our players to compete for
conference championships and receive individual conference
awards. |
 |
|
• |
New partnership with Select.
This allows us to provide our players with new and modern
uniforms, outerwear and gear on a yearly basis. In addition to
the uniforms, our players now receive boots, polo’s, winter
jackets, warm-ups and bags. |
 |
|
• |
Year round leagues, tournaments and
camps for the local, state and regional communities: |
| |
- |
Leagues: Adult men’s and women’s
indoor |
| |
- |
Tournaments: High School boy’s and
girl’s indoor, 7v7 men’s and women’s outdoor |
| |
- |

 |
| Areas we have plans to focus our
growth in the future: |
 |
|
• |
Scholarships – goal is to become fully-funded |
 |
|
• |
Increase in travel budgets so our players can play
against the top teams year in and year out |
 |
|
• |
Assistant coaches becoming full-time |
 |
|
• |
Facility and field improvements: an additional level on
press box to be used to film games,
