THE PROGRAM

Montana State University Billings has fielded a tennis team every year since 1968.  In the last four years the program has grown tremendously in numbers.  This includes the number of student-athletes and number of matches.  The goal of the program is to bring in players that are dedicated to academics and interested in improving their tennis skills.

Montana State University Billings is a member of the Pacific West Conference.  the conference is made up of 6 schools.  Last season marked the first time the PacWest held a conference tennis championship.  BYU-Hawaii, the eventual national champion, hosted the event.  In 2002-2003, MSU Billings hosted the Pacific West Conference Tennis Championships in Billings.  Billings tennis fans were able to watch the eventual NCAA National Champions for both men and women and BYU-Hawaii went on from Billings to capture the crowns.  In 2004 and 2005, the Yellowjackets will travel to Hawaii for the PacWest Conference Championships.
