MSUB Cross Country Runs at RMS
Complete Results

BOULDER, Colo. – The Montana State Billings women’s and men’s cross country teams finished seventh and eighth respectively at the Rocky Mountain Shootout on Saturday.  The non-Division I women’s race featured 11 teams while the men’s race had nine.

The Yellowjacket women were led by Dianna Stanley (Miles City) for the second time this season.  The freshman finished the 5.8K course in 24:41 for 57th place.  Also scoring for the Jackets were Katie Thiel (Powell, Wyo.) in 65th with a time of 25:18, Mykel Ler (Sidney) in 67th with a time of 25:26, Morgan Streeter (Ryegate) in 71st with a time of 25:39, Cierra Dornfeld (Woodbury, Minn.) in 73rd with a time of 25:51, and Colleen Dalimata (Columbia Falls) in 74th with a time of 25:53.

The women’s individual winner was Sara Vaughn of the University of Colorado.  She finished in 21:00, 18 seconds ahead of the second place runner.  The top non-Division I runner was Lauren Dunsmoor of Colorado State-Pueblo who notched an impressive third place finish in 21:47.  Colorado won the Division I team race while Western State won the non-Division I team competition.

Jarred Rensvold (Wolf Point) paced the Yellowjacket men with a 73rd place finish.  He covered the 8K in 29:46.  Rounding out the Jackets’ scorers were Ryan Ceynar (Glendive) in 84th with a time of 30:22, Kelley Miller (Glendive) in 99th with a time of 31:48, Joe Houghton (Billings) in 110th with a time of 35:49, and James Hopkins (Helena) in 112th with a time of 36:13.

The men’s individual winner was Brent Vaughn of Colorado with a time of 24:46, the sixth-fastest time ever posted at the shootout.  Winners Brent and Sara Vaughn are husband and wife.  Colorado won the men’s Division I race while Western State took top non-Division I honors.  The top non-Division I individual was Western State’s Iain Donnan in fifth place with a time of 25:29.
