BILLINGS, Mont. – The Montana State Billings cross country teams played host to Saturday’s 5k Fun Run followed by the men’s and women’s college race held at Norm Schoenthal Island.  Teams in attendance included Black Hills State, Carroll College, Dickinson State, Flathead Valley CC, Rocky Mountain College, United Tribes Technical College, and Yellowstone Baptist College.

Jepkiuri Rose of Dickinson State paced the women’s 5k race winning in a time of 18:10.  Sarah Lord was second with an 18:38 while MSUB’s Dianna Stanley (Miles City) was third turning in a time of 19:30.  The Lady Jackets turned in four of the top seven times in capturing the team competition with 26 points.  Dickson State was second with 48 points, and Carroll College was third with 58 points.

Dickinson State dominated the men’s four-mile taking first through fourth places.  Parra Porfirio took top honors turning in a 20:21.  Porfirio’s teammate Dan Molnar was second with a 20:44 and Sergio Campos-Jimenez rounded out the third spot with a time of 20:53.  Jarred Rensvold (Wolf Point) was the Jackets’ top finisher placing sixth with a 21:15.  Ryan Ceynar (Glendive) was seventh turning in a 21:18.  Dickinson won the team race totaling 17 points.  Carroll College just clipped the Yellowjackets for second place turning in 64 points.  The Jackets had 65.
