Lady Jacket Golfers Sixth at Regis Invite
   Round Two Results

LAKEWOOD, Colo. – The Montana State Billings women’s golf team climbed one spot to place sixth at the Regis University Invitational Tuesday in Lakewood, Colo.  The Yellowjackets shot a two-round total 697 (350, 347) at the par-72 Fox Hollow Golf Course.

Western New Mexico cruised to the tournament win shooting 316 and 315 for a combined 631.  Mesa State shaved 24-strokes off their game to finish second with a 656 (340, 316).  Fort Hays State struggled on the final 18 holes slipping from second place after day one to third place overall with a 675 (329, 346).

Western New Mexico’s Tina Bickford and Regis’s Cecilia Silfverskio battled to a tie overall with a two-round total 150.  Shelby White from Forth Hays led after day one, but shot a round-two eight-over par 80 to finish in a tie for third with Colorado Christian’s Jessica Lauer with a two-day total 155.  Amy Nordeen (Hamilton) led the Yellowjackets with a 36-hole total 164 to finish in a tie for eleventh.  Nordeen shot an 83 on day one and shaved two strokes off day two for a 81.

The Lady Jackets return to Billings to play a dual match against cross-town rival Rocky Mountain College on September 24 and 25.
