Halvorson Named Player of
the Week
BILLINGS, Mont. – Montana State Billings
freshman Lexi Halvorson was named Great Northwest Athletic
Conference track and field Player of the Week, the conference
office announced Monday. This is the first Player of the
Week honor for the Yellowjackets this season in track and field.
Halvorson, a native of Billings, placed
second in the discus with a GNAC season-best toss of 140-3
Saturday at the South Dakota School of Mines Bauer Invitational.
Halvorson’s mark was just 10 inches short of the provisional
national qualifying standard in the discus.
The Yellowjackets head to the Al Manuel
Invitational at the University of Montana next Friday and
Saturday. |
