Golf Finish Third at GNAC Championships

SPOKANE,
Wash. – The Montana State Billings men’s golf team finished
third at the 2008 Great Northwest Athletic Conference Golf
Championships Tuesday with a second round team score of 306 for
a total of 603 at the par 72, 6,255-yard Indian Canyon Golf
Club. Western
Washington shot a 290 on Tuesday to take the championship from
first round leader Saint Martin’s.
SMU’s Hiro Nezu takes medalist honors with a
six-under 138.
WWU’s Jake Koppenberg was second with a four-under 140, followed
by MSUB’s Tyler Nicholas with a two-under 142.
Yellowjacket Jason Kinsey finished sixth with a 36-hole
score of 148, followed by Michael Konrad at 15th with
a 157, Mike Watson at 16th carding a 158 and Jeff
Allen at 17th after shooting a 159 score.
The Vikings had a team score of 578, followed
by SMU’s 583, MSUB at 603 and Northwest Nazarene at 637.
