  COACH PROFILE

Dan McNally
Head Men's Soccer Coach
(3rd Year)

The third year seemed to be a charm for head coach Dan McNally as his men's soccer team finished with the first winning season in school history at 13-4-1.  His teams are now 23-28-3 overall and the Yellowjackets finished 2007 in second place in the GNAC standings in their first year in the league.  The 23 wins are the most in school history by a men's soccer coach.

In addition, the Yellowjackets excelled in the classroom, too.   The men's soccer program had its best fall GPA in school history at 3.49.   Currently, the team cumulative GPA is 3.35.

Sophomore Sam Charles, a recruit of McNally's, was named 2007 GNAC Player of the Year.

McNally came to MSU Billings from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., where he was the top assistant coach for four years.

McNally began his playing career at Bury FC (English 2nd Division), where he was an Apprentice until 1996. In the summer of 1996 McNally moved to the United States to attend Embry-Riddle University where he played soccer.

During his time at Embry-Riddle, he led the Eagles to the 1998 FSC Tournament Championship and the 1999 FSC Regular Season Championship.  At Embry-Riddle, McNally was named All-Conference, All-Region and Honorable Mention All-America. He was selected as team MVP his freshman and sophomore years and was a team captain as a senior.

McNally holds NSCAA National and Advanced National coaching licenses, passing both courses with distinction.

McNally graduated in 2000 from Embry-Riddle University with a BS in Communications.
