Cross Country Enters Regional Rankings (10/24/06)
BILLINGS, MT – Fresh off a
championship performance at last week’s Heartland
Conference Cross Country Race held at Riverfront
Park, the Montana State-Billings women’s cross
country team has made its first appearance on the
most recent South Central regional poll.
The Lady Jackets were ranked 10th in the South Central Region by the US Track and
Field and Cross Country Coaches Association this
week. Holding the No. 1 ranking all seven weeks is
Abilene Christian University. The Wildcats have
most recently been ranked ninth in the country.
MSUB will host the Yellowjacket
Invitational on October 28 at Riverfront Park before
traveling to Warrensburg, Missouri to compete in the
NCAA Division II South Central Regional on November
3.
