Lady Jackets 14th at Pepsi Lion Invite (3/19/07)
Round 1 Results

COMMERCE, TX – Following the first round of competition at the Pepsi Lion Invite hosted by Texas A&M – Commerce, the Montana State-Billings Lady Jackets sit in fourteenth place carding an 18-hole combined 382.

Oklahoma City University shot a combined 315 to hold a one-stroke advantage over Redlands Community College for the top spot after day one.  St. Edward’s University carded a first round 328 to hold a comfortable 13-stroke lead over fourth place Cameron.  The host team Texas A&M – Commerce is tied with Arkansas Tech for fifth with a combined 344 following 18-holes of play.

Toni Pyrum of Oklahoma City University leads the individual race shooting a first round five-over par 77.  Just one stroke back with a six-over 78 is a six-way tie for second place.  In that tie is Jessica Thompson playing as an individual for St. Gregory followed by Christina Cung, Woori Shin, Allison Kinser, Tamara Campbell, and Andrea Rojas.  The Jackets’ Emily Maag (Colstrip, MT) leads MSUB carding a first-round 17-over par 89 tying her for forty-second place.

The Lady Jackets will wrap up play shooting a final 18-holes Tuesday at the Pepsi Lion Invitational.
