Women’s Golf Finishes Fall Season

SEASIDE, CA – With the final round
played at the California State – Monterey Bay
Invitational, the lady Jacket golf team finished their
fall season on Tuesday.
Junior
Emily Maag led MSUB with a three-round low score
of 271, placing her 47th. The Jackets, however, was not
eligible to compete as a team due to an MSUB golfer
bowing out in the first round of play because of
illness.
Maag improved from her first round
of 96 to shoot an 89 in the second, followed by a final
round of 86.
Amy Nordeen turned in a tournament total
of 275 and
Jessica Boyer finished with a 287.
Halley Montalban
followed her first-round withdrawal with
rounds of 94 and 87. Earning the lowest individual
score for the tournament was Grand Canyon University’s
Jessica McKay with a 13-over 232. McKay was nine
strokes ahead of the nearest competitor.
With the completion of this latest
tournament, the women’s fall golf season has come to an
end. Play will resume this spring.
