Yellowjacket Golf Set to Play St. Edward’s Invite (2/16/07)
BILLINGS, MT – The Montana
State-Billings men’s golf team is set to play in their
first tournament of the spring season in Austin, Texas
February 19 and 20. The Yellowjackets are anxious to
hit the road for decent golfing weather as they have
been practicing indoors throughout the winter.
Heartland Conference member St.
Edward’s, who is currently ranked sixth in the nation by
the GCAA/Bridgestone Division II coaches poll, will play
host to the tournament. The invite will be played at
the Circle C Country Club. The par-72 course is 6,859
yards and is rated at 72.7. The field of teams will
play 36-holes on the first day of the tournament
followed by a single round of 18 on day two.
Following the invite in Austin, the
Yellowjackets head west to Bakersfield, California on
February 26 and 27 for their second of three tournaments
leading up to the Heartland Conference Championship in
April. |
