Yellowjacket Fun Run Saturday at Riverfront (10/27/05)
BILLINGS, MT – The Montana
State-Billings cross-country teams will hold their
annual Fun Run fundraiser Saturday morning at
Riverfront Park. The 5K event will be a prelude to
the Yellowjacket Invitational collegiate race.
The Fun Run begins at 9:00
a.m. Late registration and packet pickup will start
at 7:30 at the southwest picnic shelter at
Riverfront Park. For those not already registered,
the entry fee is $15. All proceeds benefit the
Yellowjacket cross-country teams.
The college race starts with
the women’s 5K at 10:00 a.m. The men’s 8K will
start at approximately 10:40. Three four-year
schools and one junior college are scheduled to
compete. In addition to MSU Billings, Dickinson
State, University of Mary, and Flathead Valley CC
are slated to bring full teams.
The race is the final regular
season competition for the Yellowjackets. They will
wrap up the year at the NCAA South Central Regional
on November 5 in Abilene, TX. |
