PHOENIX, AZ - The Montana
State University-Billings men’s soccer team used a pair of late goals Friday night to down Humboldt State,
2-0, in a neutral site game. The Yellowjackets improved to
5-12-0, dropping the Lumberjacks to 7-9-1.
MSU Billings concludes the 2005 season Monday night at Grand
Canyon University. The game is slated for a 7:30 p.m.
start in Phoenix.
The
Yellowjackets and Lumberjacks played played a scoreless first
half Friday despite a combined 11 shots. Both goalkeepers
made two saves in the half and three in the game.
The
Yellowjackets broke through on the Jacks' Brendan Bourdage in
the 79th minute when Brian Huskey (Fr., Billings, MT) scored the
eventual game-winner. Jay Dougan (Fr., Motherwell,
Scottland) added an insurance goal for the Yellowjackets in the
86th minute. Both goals were the first of the season for
Huskey and Dougan. |
