Jacket Baseball Cancelled Tuesday (4/17/06)

BILLINGS, MT – Montana State-Billings baseball coach Chris Brown announced Monday afternoon that Tuesday’s exhibition game against Miles Community College has been cancelled because of the wet spring weather.  No make-up date has been scheduled.

The Jackets and Pioneers were scheduled to meet in a single nine-inning game at Cobb Field on Tuesday and then again in Miles City on April 25.  MSU Billings (10-28 overall, 8-20 HLC) will next play on Friday, April 21, when the Yellowjackets host Heartland Conference opponent Oklahoma Panhandle State (4-38, 3-25).  The Yellowjackets and Aggies will square off in doubleheaders on both Friday and Saturday at Cobb Field.  The first game on Friday will begin at noon; Saturday’s first game will start at 11:00 a.m.

MSU Billings has 12 home games remaining in its 2006 season.  Following this weekend’s games against Panhandle State, the Yellowjackets will host St. Mary’s (28-12, 21-7) on April 28 and 29, and Incarnate Word (28-13, 22-6) on May 5 and 6.
