| Matt Schoonover is a 2005 graduate of Charles M.
Russell High School. In high school Matt earned numerous
academic and athletic honors and played for the Great Falls
Stallions Legion baseball team. He is the son of Dick and
Karen of Great Falls.
Schoonover is a
health and human performance major.
"Getting a
student-athlete of Matt's caliber and potential is exciting," said
head coach Chris Brown. "He is not only a very talented
athlete, but an exceptional student. Matt fits our philosophy
of getting student-athletes that excel on and off the field.
He is polished defensively for a high school kid and has a good
approach at the plate. He also has the ability to play
multiple positions and pitch, which gives us depth and options.
Matt will be a fun guy to watch develop in the years to come." |
