Lady Jackets Sign Golf Transfer (June 14, 2005)

BILLINGS, MT – Montana State-Billings women’s golf coach Jeff Nelson announced Tuesday that Emily Maag will transfer from Lewis-Clark State College to compete for the Yellowjackets next season.

Maag is a 2004 graduate of Colstrip High School.  She placed in the top five at the State A Tournament three times topped by a second place finish as a senior.  She was third as a junior and fourth as a sophomore.

Maag played one season at L-C State and will have three years of eligibility remaining.  She placed 31st at the NAIA Region I Tournament as a freshman.

“I like Billings, and it’s close to my home town,” said Maag of her transfer.  “The golf program is off to a great start, and I would like to be part of that.”
