Lady Jackets’ Milne Moves to Fourth for Blocks (Mar. 1, 2005)

BILLINGS, MT – Montana State-Billings senior Robyn Milne climbed from sixth to fourth for blocked shots in this week’s NCAA women’s basketball stats rankings.  Milne had ten blocks in two games last week and is within six of the career school record of 272.  Her next blocked shot will tie her for sixteenth in NCAA Division II history.

The Yellowjackets wrap up their regular season with two games at Western New Mexico this week.  They are currently ranked eighth in the West Region and two wins at WNMU will likely give them an NCAA Tournament berth.

Milne, a 6-3 center from Richey, Mont., is also 27^th nationally for rebounding average at 10.1 rpg.  As a team the Yellowjackets are ranked in the top 50 in seven statistical categories.  They are sixth for field goal percentage defense (34.3), 26^th for scoring margin (+12.6), 30^th for field goal percentage (44.4), 31^st for rebound margin (+6.7), 34^th for scoring defense (57.9), 45^th for free throw percentage (73.4), and 46^th for 3-pointers per game (6.2).
