Yellowjackets’ Donahue Ranked Fifth in NCAA Stats (Oct. 6, 2004)

BILLINGS, MT – Montana State-Billings middle blocker Andrea Donahue is ranked fifth in the nation this week for individual hitting percentage.  The rankings are based on all games played through October 3.  The senior from Whitefish, MT, is hitting .433 in 51 games this season.  Donahue hit .404 in four matches in Hawaii last week.  She recorded double-digit kills in three of the four matches, including a season-high 18 in a win at BYU-Hawaii.

MSU Billings was also ranked in two team categories.  The Yellowjackets are 21st for team assists per game at 14.29 and 24th for team kills per game at 15.82.  Sophomore setter Natalie Bills (Provo, UT) slipped out of the national top 30 for assists after missing a few games two weeks ago.  The rankings are published following national statistical reports every other week.

MSU Billings is off to one of its best starts ever at 9-5 overall and 2-3 in the PacWest.  The Jackets won two of four matches in Hawaii last week for the first time ever and will begin a nine-match home stand this weekend when they host BYU-Hawaii on Friday and Saturday.
