Collegiate Cup Date Pushed Back (Mar. 10, 2005)
BILLINGS, MT – The spring 2005 Billings College Collegiate Cup Tournament has
been moved to April 4 and 5. The first tee time is set
for 1 p.m. at Briarwood Golf Course and Club, the
Yellowjackets home course.
Both the men and women have
completed their first rounds of competition for the
season. The men played a 54-hole tournament in Berkley,
California February 28 and March 1 where they shot to
tenth place as a team. The Lady Jackets return home
after playing in the Rattler Classic held in Boerne,
Texas on March 4 and 5. The women finished in thirteenth
place in the 36-hole tournament.
Because the Billings Collegiate Cup has been postponed, both Yellowjacket
teams will have the opportunity to compete in
tournaments before taking on the Battlin' Bears. The
Yellowjacket men’s team will compete March 20-22 in
Seaside, California at the Cal-State Monterey Bay
Invitational. The Lady Jackets will have their
opportunity to compete at the Grand Canyon Invitational
in Phoenix, Arizona March 27-29. It was at this
tournament last year that Julie Clifford (Jr., Forsyth,
MT) put up a low round 83 for the Jackets. |
